I looked for a location for at least two hours before the shoot to find just the right spot and ended up using shooting in the barn across the street. The tree shots came right at the end when I thought we were done. I love it when things like this reveal themself at the last moment.
Ruth and Alfonso were so sweet. I asked him what his favorite thing about her was and he said her smile. After spending a few hours hanging out taking pictures and getting to know them I would agree. Ruth was full of joy and always giggling. When I asked her was her favorite thing about Alfonso was she said, “the way he treats others”. What an honorable thing to be said.
Ooooh, I love that last shot with the trees. So awesome!
A Walk in the Clouds was once one of my favorite movies. For reasons of good taste and a need for a more believable story line I took it off my favorites list. While these shots have nothing to do with the movie they do remind me of the thought… “A Walk In The Clouds.”
Chris, I love that you are getting TRULY intimate portraits of these people. Aesthetically you've grown, that's for sure, but the true beauty in these photos is the way you disappear and we see the physical language of their relationships. Beautiful job man.
Yesterday was another beautiful day in Southern California at Point Loma. Here are a few shots from Melissa & Monty’s e~session.
Gorgeous!!
I knew when Emily called me that we were going to have a fun shoot. These two turned it on the moment we started shooting. They had such love and respect for one another. The way Dairek looked at her was so soft and loving. There was hardly any direction needed because they would just get lost with each other so easily.
Enjoy!
Running out of light we decided to try and put a light in the top of this old phone booth Emily had found.
I love this shot! We were on our way to check out a bridge and while we were turning around I had this idea.
These are awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You did a great job Chris! I especially love the last 2…and the purple flower ones are so colorful! Emily and D look so in-love too, great job capturing them!
